Custom made to your requirements.

GeoRock Dewatering Bags are an easy and economical option for any site looking to remove sediment or silt from their discharge and storm water run-off. Constructed from a robust geotextile filter fabric, these bags catch and contain sediment as it is being pumped from your site. Their combination of strength and effective filtration has made them a favourite for construction sites, power plants, sewerage plants, dredging areas, and more.

Easily Remove Unwanted Sediment and Silt

The Dewatering Filter Sock is one of the easiest ways to filter storm water runoff as it leaves your site. Designed to attach directly to the end vertical pipes or hoses, these socks contain sediment and debris as it discharges from your site. This helps to keep runoff clean, preventing pollution at storm drains.

Pipe Socks are built in diameters of either 200mm, 300mm or 400mm to accommodate various pipe and hose diameters. All pipe socks are secured to the connection hose via clamps, allowing them to work with multiple size diameters. Additional sizes can be constructed as needed.

  • Filters Out Silt and Sediment
  • Attaches Directly to a Discharge Hose or Pipe
  • Fits Multiple Pipe/Hose Diameters
  • Installs Quickly and Easily
  • Easy to Ship & Store on Site
  • Helps Sites Stay in Compliance with Stormwater Regulations

Installation of the dewatering socks is designed to be a simple process and can be achieved through the following steps:

  1. Secure one end of the pipe sock with zip ties
  2. Place the other end of the pipe sock around your hose/pipe
  3. Slide the clamp over both the sock and the hose
  4. Tighten the clamp
  5. Start your flow in to the Sock

Additional Dewatering Products

In addition to this filter sock, we also offer several other Dewatering Products that can help with filtration in your location. One of the most common products for this type of filtration is known as the GeoRock Filtration and Dewatering Bag. Similar to the pipe sock, dewatering bags feature a geotextile filter fabric that works to filter out silt and sediment from your site runoff.

Dewatering Bags vs. Dewatering Socks

While both products can be implemented on sites to filter and remove sediment, Dewatering Bags are specifically designed for areas dealing with higher flows or increased silt containment requirements. This often includes areas where a large amount of silt has collected with water.
